About the Participant

Whitney Washington

I’m Whitney Washington, a creative nonfiction writer based in Huntsville, Alabama where I work as a communications associate for a statewide advocacy nonprofit. I write personal essays about identity, pop culture, and politics. My essays have been published in Reckon South, Electric Literature, and Roxane Gay’s newsletter, The Audacity. I’m an alum of Kenyon Writers Review Workshop and Tin House Summer Workshop in 2023. I’m a 2023 Periplus Fellow, and I’m an associate reviews editor for the Northwest Review.
