Public Programs

Throughout the year, we host conversations and collaborations amongst black artists, curators, and writers.

Our initiatives aim to continually re-think the possibilities of “public programming” in in order to support rather than tax the writers, artists, curators, and publics who make art worlds happen. We have done everything from traditional 45-minute artist talks to recorded Zoom conversations to back-end developmental support to mail art projects. The format we are liking these days is the Artist + Writer Initiative, where we pair black artists and writers and pay them the same amount of money to be in conversation and collaboration.
