About the Participant

Ashley
Marshall

Ashley Marshall strives to give back to my community through advocating for equitable access to the arts and arts education so that youth feel supported in finding their creative voices and artistic identity. As a firm believer in the saying “each one teach one,” she feels it’s a part of her responsibility to pass on the knowledge she's acquired through experience to those that can benefit from it.

Marshall had the opportunity to contribute research to the Arts Ecosystem Research Project (AERP) timeline while studying to get an MFA in Arts Leadership from Seattle University. She was one of three curatorial assistants for the exhibition "Abstractions of Black Citizenship: African American Art from Saint Louis," where she developed a K-8 educational guide.
